In 2002, Bourn & Koch acquired Fellows. Since then we have built and rebuilt numerous Fellows Gear Shapers, such as the 36-6 gear shaper. Both our new and remanufactured Fellows gear shapers can produce AGMA class 10 gears without grinding. Cutting a gear to that level of excellence starts with quality engineering, sound design, and experience. Our in-house machining capabilities combined with precision assemblers ensure that every Fellows we rebuild is well-crafted and designed to last.
The Fellows 36-6 is a classic American made gear shaper. Bourn & Koch modernizes the 36-6 through our remanufacturing process for today’s gear production requirements. We start by disassembling each gear shaper down to the original castings. From there, the machine is fully rebuilt, incorporating the latest CNC technology, spindle head relieving and numerous new features available as options. The 36-6 Gear Shaper is still the backbone of many gear production facilities.
Our remanufactured 36-6 features a Fanuc CNC control with numerous new features and technologies to accommodate high production requirements. Legendary mechanical gear shaper technology combined with today’s machine tool systems advancements. Rebuilt in America, just as it should be. Bourn & Koch is equipped for the project, whether you are looking to upgrade your existing Fellows Gear Shaper with new technology, or add a new machine tool to your shop.
