OEM Motch Rebuild Support.
Bourn & Koch builds new Motch VTLs (vertical turret lathes) in a wide array of models for a variety of turning applications, including our inverted spindle MVSL line. We also rebuild, retrofit and, remanufacture their machines. Motch vertical turning machines are heavy duty machines designed to take deep cuts at high RPM for fast and accurate productivity.
As Motch machines age, their spindles and gearboxes will begin to wear. Not only the bearings, bushings, and gears but also the spindle itself and other drivetrain components. Worn parts in the spindle lead to run-out which will affect the tolerances of the machine. One way to increase the life of your spindle and keep your VTL making accurate cuts is to have Bourn & Koch rebuild the spindle to OEM specifications.
In-House Rebuild Capabilities
One of our greatest assets at Bourn & Koch are our precision machine tool builders and our in-house repair department. Our in-house repair department has decades of experience in rebuilding spindles, not only for Motch machines, but many others as well. We have the detail prints, bills of materials and original machine records for your Motch, ensuring that the rebuild is done right with OEM parts. We fully evaluate each component of the spindle on your VTL, ensuring that all parts that require replacement or refurbishment are identified. Your spindle and gearbox is fully evaluated, cleaned, rebuilt, painted and tested to ensure that your VTL will run reliably for decades to come.
A Cost Effective Solution
Rebuilding your spindle is also more cost effective than replacement. A new spindle can cost twice as much as rebuilding your existing Motch spindle. A new spindle can also have a long lead time, whereas a rebuild can be completed in as few as 6 weeks depending on the parts required.
