Bourn & Koch acquired Barber-Colman’s machine tool division in 1984. It was one of our first major acquisitions and a major step toward becoming the company we are today. Not only was the knowledge and expertise engineered by Barber-Colman brought under our wing, but we also became the owners of many of their machine tools and spare parts.
One item in particular that our customers have found value in is our change gears. New change gears can be expensive to manufacture. However, we have a large inventory of change gears from Barber-Colman that we are able to offer to our customers.
Change gears are at the heart of your gear hobber’s capability. Having numerous configurations of change gears allows you to cut numerous different gears with your gear hobber. We have change gears on hand for a number of their models.
These are not used gears by any means. They are also not reverse engineered. They are genuine Barber-Colman change gears.
