We offer services for all makes and models of Fellows, from the 10-4 through 50-8 and many more. Being the OEM means that we have the knowledge and expertise to service your gear machinery properly. We make the distinction between rebuild and repair, where our competitors do not. For instance, when we repair your helical guide, we thoroughly ensure it is fully rebuilt and hand-scraped to fit perfectly. Our in-house repair services allow you to repair only what needs to be repaired as well, cutting down on costs and downtime.

Fellows CNC & PLC Retrofit
Bourn & Koch offers CNC retrofits for many makes of Fellows gear shapers. We can add CNC capabilities to your older, manual Fellows and also retrofit your gear shaper to newer, modern, CNC controls. CNC retrofits for Fellows shapers can be performed at our Rockford, Illinois plant or in certain cases, on-site at your facility or shop by our field service technicians.
Fellows Helical Guide Rebuild
In order to obtain a specific helix angle on Fellows shapers, a helical guide was used to determine the angle of the cut. Helical guides wear out eventually, causing less than optimum gear shaping processes. Bourn & Koch can rebuild your helical guide to restore accuracy. When we rebuild your helical guide, we regrind the guide and fit new shoes and gibs to the guide, restoring the precision and accuracy of your Fellows gear shaper. We also can manufacture new helical guides to increase your machine’s capability or replace your worn out guide.
Cutter Spindle Reconditioning
We can rebuild your Fellows cutter spindle to OEM specifications at Bourn & Koch. As OEM, we have the documents and tools necessary to properly rebuild your cutter, restoring accuracy and precision to your gear shaper.
