The MD Series of Drillsprint deep hole drilling machines are a highly customizable solution for providing precise and accurate holes in a wide range of workpieces.
Drillsprints are a single axis CNC deep hole drilling machine, available in up to 8 spindles. The machine can be configured with 1, 2, 4, or eight spindles for simultaneously drilling multiple parts at one time to meet your gun drilling productivity needs. Critical components of the Drillsprint series are machined at Bourn & Koch to ensure that the tolerances for alignment are met or exceeded, to provide drilling with minimal deviation up to 3000mm. The Drillsprint MD is available in four lengths, 750mm, 1200mm, 1500mm, and 3000mm to suit a wide variety of applications. To provide more accurate results, the Drillsprint can be provided with counterrotation of the workpiece on all models. The MD series of Drillsprint allows for drilling of holes up to 50mm in diameter. Our LD series is designed for drilling up to 25mm.
Each machine is built to your unique application, providing full customization including automation options for loading and unloading the machine and auto-whipguides for positioning. The deep hole drilling spindles are driven by powerful Fanuc spindle motors through a belt drive arrangement. A Fanuc 35i control with a gun drilling human machine interface is provided to allow for quick and easy programming.
