The DNA of MT³ is a heavy duty vertical grinding machine. Built off of the time tested core of a Blanchard rotary surface grinder, the MT³ is built to withstand heavy grinding while providing precision results to +/-.0002" and mirror-like surface finishes. Our DNA is comprised of a legacy born of American Machine Tool innovation and ingenuity. Proven over decades, this machine's lineage goes back over a century.
Grind-Mill or Just Mill... Your Call
MT³ standard spindles are designed not only to handle precision grinding, but also milling, drilling, and tapping. Dedicated spindles for these operations can also be provided, allowing for maximum material removal rates and optimal spindle life across all operations. Milling operations are programmed via Fanuc Manual Guide-i with the incorporation of a virtual Y-Axis.
Make Your Machine One & Done
The addition of turning spindles to your MT³ brings the machine full circle to a one & done complete manufacturing solution. Turning tool spindles are of a rugged dedicated design to avoid the typical pitfalls of a mill-turn machine. An HSK-100 tool connection allows for heavy duty cuts to reduce cycle time prior to grinding.
Run It Lights Out
The robotic cell of MT³ is configurable to allow for automatic change of both tools and spindles and part loading. The cell utilizes a Fanuc R-2000 robot with a high payload to not only load your spindles but also parts to keep the machine running on its own, allowing operators to focus on other value added tasks or to run unattended.
Optimize Every Tool & Spindle Change
The MT³ uses our innovative Alien Claw gripper, a new approach to end of arm tooling that allows for multiple tools or spindles to be held at one time. Spindle or tool swaps are done in one operation, reducing changeover time and increasing spindle uptime.
