A rebuild is focused on the mechanical aspects of your machine tool. We can rebuild your whole machine or just components, such as the hob swivel on your Barber-Colman 16-16 hobber or the base ways on your Blanchard 22AD-42. For all of our OEM legacy lines, we have the original bills of materials, assembly drawings, electrical diagrams, hydraulic schematics and intellectual property to ensure the job is done right.
A retrofit is focused on the machine tool systems. We evaluate your machine tool’s control, lubrication systems, coolant and mechanical drive systems for replacement with newer technology. The most common retrofit is to your machine’s control. We can replace outdated input systems, CNC or PLC controls. We can also retrofit your machine for newer style guarding or enclosures, improving safety.
